I’m sitting in the Portland airport, waiting for my flight to leave as I type this.
I had a great time at my sister’s wedding in Forest Grove last Saturday, and it was good to see much extended family at my grandfather’s memorial service (Robert Karch, my father’s father) in SeaTac, WA, yesterday (Sunday).
I’m flying from Portland, Oregon, through Chicago, Midway (and so miss the psychadelic tunnel at O’Hare), to Louisville, KY. When it’s all over Thursday around noon, I’ll snag a ride back to Montréal with a group of québecker pastors.
This year, around 30 pastors from Québec will drive the 14 hour Montréal-Louisville trip to attend!

Memoirs of an Ordinary pastor is the story of Tom Carson, a pastor and church planter in the trenches of French-Quebec for close to half a century. He was a “regular” pastor. Nothing flashy. No mega-church ministry. No one flocked to his conferences. I’ll admit it, I cried at the end.
