Compassion is not enough of a motivation for the long-term:

“Mission efforts which draw their motivation from compassionate response to human predicament will only go so far.”[1]

For the reality is that…

“… God’s global purpose is an ancient affair.”[2]

    Exodus 20: “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.” Our freedom is in Christ, freedom from sin, from the wages, from the shame, from the power, from the judgement. Freedom to live, to love, to worship, to relate, to enjoy. This is motivation to be a witness of our God who saves.
